Stephen Dickie is 67 years old; he and his wife, Donna, have two adult children and three grandchildren.
In 1985 Stephen started giving Revelation Seminars and got involved in soul winning while running a business six days a week. He was able to sell his business in 1993 and move into full-time SDA mission activity.
He then became involved in establishing printing and publishing operations around the world for Bible related tracts and EGW books in developing countries. His last press project was in Havana, Cuba where the ministry provided the needed funds for the new press building in 2000. In 2001 he was in Central Asia where he saw how the local Muslims had venerated the Bible prophet Daniel. That led to a journey through the official SDA archives where he found a treasure house of documents about Islam in our church’s past history. Many of his findings are now found in his book, Islam God’s Forgotten Blessing, and the Maroon Resource Book, which is now in its fifth printing.
He has served on the Seventh-day Adventist North American Division committee for Adventist Muslim Relations (AMR) for the past six years. Stephen has been a guest lecturer at Andrews University and Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) in Philippines. He has had his own TV series on LLBN called, Islam Reconsidered. He is presently a member of the Owatonna Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Minnesota conference of the North American Division.
He presently travels and lectures to western and Christian groups on the Bible position of Islam in world history. He is now being invited to speak more and more before Muslims. He works in the Philippines where he has held five Seventh-day Adventist worker’s meetings and also a meeting with professors of Islam, Arabic languages and Sharia law at Mindanao State University, the largest Islamic university in the Philippines. Has established a training school in Libungan Mindanao Philippines to teach Adventist how to teach the Muslim population to be ready for Jesus soon return. This school is held three to four times a year for one to two weeks intensive teaching from active workers and a Muslim from the mid-east who read Stephen’s book, “Islam God’s Forgotten Blessing.” His close relationship with the world’s leading Sufi Sheikh has been an ongoing learning experience of how to present the Jesus of the Bible to any Muslim in the world.
Stephen’s goal is to show how the individual Seventh-day Adventist church member can be an effective witness to Muslims one on one without arguing. Come bring a friend and learn how.
